LINCOLN ESTATES HOME ASSOCIATION POOL RULES
POOL COORDINATOR: Duane Parsons (209-605-4938)
The following are the rules adopted by the Board of Directors for the operation of the Lincoln Estates Homes Association pool. These rules are governed by the City Health Ordinances and liability insurance requirements.
ATTENTION PARENTS: Please be certain that you and your children are familiar with these rules.
LIFEGUARD: The lifeguard on duty is in charge. It is the lifeguard's duty to enforce all rules to the best of his/her ability. Any Homeowner questions, disputes, or complaints concerning these rules should be directed to the Pool Coordinator, not the lifeguard. The lifeguard has the right to warn, give a time-out, or expel someone from the pool area. The lifeguard determines the seriousness of the offense. Defiance or mistreatment of the lifeguard is cause for immediate expulsion from the pool. Any questions or complaints should be directed to the Pool Coordinator.
Lifeguards are required to take a 10-minute break every four hours. They will try to take it at a time when the pool is not in use. If necessary, the lifeguard will temporarily close the pool, and patrons will have to wait outside the gated area. If a single lifeguard is working all day, the pool will also be closing for a half-hour dinner break. A lifeguard will always be on duty when the pool is open.
POOL HOURS: 12:00pm – 8:00pm daily until School opens, August 11, 2026. Then the Pool will be open 3:30 to 7:30 on weekdays; 12:00-8:00 on weekends. Pool may close early, depending on the weather. Adult swimming will take place on Mondays-Thursdays from 5:30-6:30, when there are adults over the age of eighteen (18) who are present and would like to use the pool for exercise. Those under eighteen will be able to continue to swim, if there are not any adults wishing to participate at that time.
POOL USE: All Homeowners must sign-in upon entering the pool area. Homeowners must be current in dues payments to use the pool. Please contact Jeff Koester to make the necessary arrangements if you are behind on payments. Guests must be registered with the lifeguard.
Guests are any family member or friend who does not live in your home and is accompanied by the Homeowner.
POOL and/or PARK PARTY: Homeowners who would like to host/schedule a party at the pool with ten (10) or more guests, who are not residents, will need to add Lincoln Estates Homeowners to a 24-hour Liability Rider with their homeowner’s insurance company. The Homeowner must provide the Insurance Rider to the Pool Coordinator Duane Parsons (209-605-4938) at least one week before the party date. An additional lifeguard is also required for each group of ten guests. The lifeguard will be scheduled by the Pool Coordinator but must be paid by the Homeowner directly at the rate of $20/hour/lifeguard. All parties are subject to lifeguard availability; thus, it is recommended that you check with the Pool Coordinator prior to scheduling regarding availability.
CLOTHING: Only proper swimming attire will be allowed and must be always worn. Swimming in underwear is not permitted. Cutoffs will not be permitted. Babies and toddlers who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers.
NON-SWIMMERS AND PRESCHOOLERS must be accompanied and always watched by a parent or responsible guardian of at least 13 years of age. Anyone accompanying an infant or non-swimmer must always be within arms-reach. If the preschooler is a beginner, the responsible adult must stay in the shallow end and observe the children whenever he/she is in the water. A beginner swimmer may swim in the deep end, between the rope and the five-foot line, only if a parent is always within arm’s reach, and at the lifeguard’s discretion.
A swimmer is one who can easily swim the length of the pool, without using any flotation aids, and without stopping or holding onto the side. The lifeguard determines this. Each lifeguard has the right to ask a swimmer to demonstrate their swimming ability. The swim test may be repeated as often as desired by the swimmer.
